The last time Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff visited Hitsville, the home of Motown, they were being offered the opportunity to join Berry Gordy and the legendary label.
Gamble and Huff made a tough decision and declined, choosing rather to form their own label in Philadelphia. This pushed them to create The Sound of Philadelphia, and led to some of the greatest music in American history. This included a song they penned which went on to become a major Motown hit; "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" by The Temptations and The Supremes.
While in Detroit for a medical conference, Mr. Gamble and his lovely wife Mrs. Faatimah Gamble were able to take some time and pay a visit to the historic studio. "It was an honor and thrill to be back at Hitsville after so many years. It further increased my appreciation of what Mr. Berry Gordy did for the music industry,"
said Mr. Gamble.
